FAQ’s

  • JC SummerArts welcomes campers ages 4–11. Groups are divided by age. Age grouping is based on your child's age as of September 1, 2026. Campers must be at least 4 years old on their first day of camp.

All campers must be able to use the bathroom independently from start to finish.

  • Absolutely not! SummerArts is designed for all levels, from first-timers to kids with years of training. Our Teaching Artists meet each child where they are. Curiosity and enthusiasm are the only requirements.

  • Campers start their day with Morning Meeting and then rotate through dance, theater, singing, and visual arts activities with their group. There's outdoor time every other day (weather permitting), a quiet rest period (nap time for younger campers), and additional rehearsal time leading up to the Friday performance.

Each group will be limited to 20 campers to ensure adequate staff-to-camper ratios.

  • Fridays are performance day! At 4:00pm, families are invited to watch a live performance based on the week's theme. It's a real production — not just a class demonstration. There is no after-care on Fridays.

  • Campers should bring a nut-free lunch and snacks each day (lunch is not provided), a water bottle labeled with their name, and comfortable clothes they can move in. We'll send a full packing list upon registration.

  • Yes! Need-based scholarships and payment plans are available. Please contact marie@nimbusdanceworks.org to request a scholarship application. We believe every child deserves access to quality arts education.

    Payment plans are also available.

  • Withdrawals must be made in writing. Refunds or credit are granted if withdrawal is made more than 15 days before the start date. If made 7–14 days before, 50% may be refunded or a full credit issued. Within 7 days of start, transfers or credits may be available depending on space. The $25 registration fee and deposit are non-refundable.

  • Yes! Before-care and after-care are available as an add-on. Before-care is $100/week; After-care is $75/week. Note that there is no after-care on Fridays, as the weekly performance takes place at 4:00pm.

  • No. Lunch & Snacks are not provided. All campers must pack nut-free lunches and snacks.
