Performance Ensembles
The School of Nimbus Dance Performance Ensembles provides dedicated students in Levels III-A through V-A with opportunities to advance their artistic growth through intensive rehearsals, classical and contemporary repertoire, and meaningful performance experiences.

This fall, Ensemble students will study and perform a classical suite selected and directed by School of Nimbus Co-Director and former American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Sarah Lane. The work will be staged and coached by Lane alongside the School of Nimbus’s distinguished teaching artists and presented at the School of Nimbus Dance Fall Concert on November 7 at the Summit Campus. Select advanced students may also be invited to participate in additional festivals and community performances throughout the season.
In addition to classical repertoire, Ensemble dancers will learn Nimbus repertoire, perform an existing contemporary work, or collaborate on a new modern piece created specifically for them. These works will be featured in the Fall Concert and other select performance opportunities.
Ensemble members also perform in Jersey Nutcracker, choreographed by Nimbus Dance Artistic Director Samuel Pott. This imaginative holiday production takes audiences on a journey through iconic New Jersey landscapes, blending festive cheer with themes of hope and resilience, while giving students the opportunity to perform alongside professional Nimbus Dance company artists. Additional opportunities to perform with company members may be available throughout the year.
Ensemble participation is open exclusively to students in Levels III-A – V-A. Students must register for their level’s required Ensemble class schedule and are expected to attend all Ensemble classes and rehearsals.
