COVID-19 Protocols & Procedures 

The School of Nimbus is committed to providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our students, staff, and faculty to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please take a moment to read through the policies and procedures we will be implementing during the school year.

COVID-19 Protocols 

Guidance for those who cannot enter the facility 

  • Received COVID Positive results within the last 5 - days 

  • Demonstrates COVID Symptoms 

  • Does not follow Nimbus Arts Center protocols 

Nimbus Arts Center Protocols 

Masks:

  • Wearing a mask is optional inside the building

  • Masks will be required for the entire facility if COVID community levels reach high.

Vaccination

  • All Employees of Nimbus must be vaccinated 

  • Students 5+yrs: 

    • Are encouraged to get vaccinated

  • Booster shots are encouraged 

    • The CDC now recommends booster shots at 5 months after the completion of the primary series of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for those aged 12 and older. 

    • The CDC now recommends booster shots at least 2 months after receiving your J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccination for those aged 18 and older 

    • CDC now recommends booster shots at 6 months after the completion of the primary series of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for those aged 18 and older 

Quarantine 

  • After Prolonged Exposure

    • Anyone who is unvaccinated must quarantine for 5-days and wear a mask while at Nimbus for an additional 9 days.

Note: “Prolonged Exposure” is defined as less than 6 ft for longer than 15-minutes. 

Protocol for COVID Positive Case 

  • If you have received a Positive COVID test 

    • Asymptomatic = No Symptoms:

      • 5-day Quarantine and test on day 5, must wear a mask for 10-days after positive test while at Nimbus 

    • Symptomatic = feeling symptoms:

      • 10-day Quarantine and test on day 10, must wear a mask for 14-days after positive test while at Nimbus 

        • Must be fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms are improving 

  • A positive person can return if: 

    • All symptoms have subsided and above quarantine has been met 

Inside Facility Protocol

  • Guardians 

    • Drop students off at the Mezzanine level and leave the building once checked in.

      •  No observations will be allowed until designated Parent Observation week.

    • Pick up students from Stage Door on Steuben Street

    • Keep contact information up to date in case of emergency

  • Students 

    • Wash hands upon arrival is strongly suggested

    • Are encouraged to come dressed and ready for class
