Spend a fun-filled summer at the Nimbus Arts Center: dance, sing, act and explore the visual arts at JC SummerArts! This full-day camp culminates with a performance every week based on an exciting theme. Students will learn from our exceptional professional teaching artists, gain performance experience, make new friends, and have a ton of fun!

A deposit of $75 is due at time of registration. THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE

Total balance is due by May 1, 2024, payment plans are available. Tuition (excluding $75 deposit) is fully refundable until May 1, 2024.

Week 1 July 8th - 12th: Treasure Island

Ay, Ay Captain, from sea shanties to treasure maps and pirate ships to pirate hats prepare to set sail for a week of artistic exploration, camaraderie, and the discovery of hidden treasures on the lively shores of Treasure island!

Week 2 July 15th-19th: Circus Week

Twist, twirl and tumble into JC SummerArts, Circus week. Explore dazzling acrobatics, becoming the ringmaster of your own melody and capturing the magic of the circus! This is the greatest show!!

Week 3 July 22nd - July 26th: ¡Bailamos! - Tango/Salsa/Merengue (BiLingual Week)

¡Vamos! On a bi-lingual journey! Shimmy, shake, and create in our dazzling theme, "¡Bailamos!". A rich cultural tapestry of Latin America, where every moment is a fiesta of artistic expression and global harmony!

Week 4 July 29th - August 2nd: Olympics Week

Calling all young champions! Join us for a week of non-stop fun, where every child is a gold medalist! At JC SummerArts – creativity always takes home the prize!

Week 5 August 5- August 9th: Broadway Week

Calling “Places” for another JC SummersArts Broadway week. Campers will learn classic and contemporary broadway hits… and all that jazz!

Week 6 August 12th - 16th: Lego Week

Join us for Lego week where master builders will spend a week of boundless laughter, colorful building, and artistic exploration! Get ready to dance through a Lego wonderland, sing catchy tunes inspired by colorful bricks, and act out adventures that unfold in a world built entirely from imagination.

Week 7 August 19th - August 23rd: Whodunnit? A Mystery Adventure
Calling all detectives! Assemble for an immersive experience of suspenseful storytelling, creative collaboration, and artistic mystery-solving that requires team work, artistic exploration and laughter to crack the case! Every child becomes a part of the captivating narrative, and the stage is set for an unforgettable adventure!

Week 8 August 26th - August 30th: Superhero Week
Unleash your inner superhero at JC SummerArts Superhero week! Little heroes will twirl through energetic dances, sing empowering anthems that echo through the superhero city! Each day promises a new adventure as we celebrate the hero within every child.

JC SummerArts is looking for Leaders in Training to assist with camp this summer! ☀️🌼

The LIT’s play an extremely important role in JC SummerArts, as the liaison between student and teacher. If you are interested in the Leader In Training position please send an email to jcsummerarts@nimbusdanceworks.org with the following info:

Details:
Camp runs Monday-Friday and from July 8th - August 30th. LIT’s are needed from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Fridays. LIT’s will be paid a weekly stipend of $275. If you are not available for the entire camp, please respond with your availability and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

As a LIT you will be responsible for the success of your assigned campers. You will be in charge of their schedule and guiding them from class to class. You will be their go-to person for questions, bathroom breaks, etc. You will also be an assistant to the teaching artist. For example: If the music teacher is writing new lyrics, you may be asked to write/type them out.
